Stuart Beevor Player Profile
Debut: Basingstoke Town (H, 0-2), 17/04/1993
A staple of the Stevenage Borough squad during the mid-1990s, Stuart Beevor saw it all at Broadhall Way during a spell that got underway with a couple of substitute appearances at the back end of the 1992-3 season.
Having grown in stature over the following seasons, Beevor formed a part of the Diadora Premier and GM Vauxhall Conference winning squads in the formative years of his career at Boro’. When league success deserted the club, the FA Cup would provide Beevor with more happy memories.
There is probably one moment of glory that many will tell you Beevor was robbed of. In a winter fixture against Hayes, the midfielder bagged himself a first-half hattrick; putting him in an elite club of footballers. The game was to be called off at half-time, however, and the record was scrubbed.
Time was called on his Boro’ career in 1999 after six sterling years of service; a move to Aylesbury United in the pipeline, before turning out for a host of other local lower-league clubs.
