A staple of the Stevenage Borough squad during the mid-1990s, Stuart Beevor saw it all at Broadhall Way during a spell that got underway with a couple of substitute appearances at the back end of the 1992-3 season. Having grown in stature over the following seasons, Beevor was part of the squads who won the Diadora League Premier Division and GM Vauxhall n the formative years of his career at Boro’.
When league success deserted the club, the FA Cup would provide Beevor with more happy memories too.
There is probably one moment of glory that many will tell you Beevor was robbed of. In a winter fixture against Hayes, the midfielder bagged himself a first-half hattrick; putting him in an elite group of footballers. The game didn’t make it past half-time, however, and the record scrubbed from the history books.
