Steve Morison joined Stevenage Borough on the verge of his 23rd birthday from Bishop's Stortford, for whom he had proved excellent at finding the net. Originally starting his career at Northampton Town, Morison also came with experience of playing (and scoring) in the Football League.

Mark Stimson's ability to lure the player across Hertfordshire paid dividends in the Goals For column come the end of the 2006/7 season. It was a fine moment indeed that Moro's tally for that campaign was capped by scoring the winning goal in the FA Trophy final at the new Wembley.

Moro' kept firing them in during the 2007/8 campaign also, a feat that was capturing League attention during the January 2008 transfer window. Although Moro' scored fewer goals in 2007/8 compared with his first season, it is a stat that can be blamed at Boro's failure to embark on any form of cup run.

He was transfer-listed as per his request in the summer of 2008 for a month, with just one offer coming in from Crewe, which failed to meet Boro's approval. He then penned a new deal at the club that guaranteed his presence for the 2008/9 campaign, with the chance to move on if Boro' failed to gain promotion.

In 2009, after another fine campaign, Moro' was permitted to take that step up to Millwall in a six-figure deal. After breaking every net in the Blue Square Premier, he made the grade in the Championship and earned a shot at the Premier League with Norwich City in 2011.
