There can be no doubt that attack-minded Frank Tyler was an important player for a Boro’ side taking great strides on the pitch. From either midfield or out on the wing, Tyler played numerous times for us in the United Counties and Isthmian leagues. While the number of goals he scored didn’t exactly force you to use a second set of fingers, he didn’t hold back at the start of the 1982-3 season; scoring twice in his first three games.
