Barry Fuller Player Profile
Debut: Altrincham (A, 1-2), 12/08/2006
Another one of the signings made in the summer of 2006, highly-rated Barry Fuller came to Boro’ on a free transfer after being released by Premier League outfit Charlton Athletic.
Although failing to establish himself at The Valley where he started as a trainee, Fuller’s loan spell at Barnet towards the end of the 2005-6 season earned many admirers lower down the league pyramid. And the defender proved to be a top acquisition by boss Mark Stimson.
Fuller was one of the most consistent performers during the 2007-8 season. It was perhaps no surprise, therefore, that former manager Mark Stimson returned to Broadhall Way to take Barry off to Gillingham when he could. And, in doing so, Stimmo made the right-back his fourth acquisition from Boro’.
