Biography
In a bid to further strengthen our promotion hopes during the second half of the 2009-10 season, Graham Westley brought in prolific striker Tim Sills. It was a bit of a coup, if not a shock that GW got his man; Sills coming in on an 18-month deal from League Two side Torquay United. The signing added weight to a front line that hadn’t exactly been short of goals in the first half of the season. But any extra help was surely welcome; not least with Sills’ record at Conference level.
Tim Sills: Before Boro’
While Sills wasn’t blessed with goals at every stop on his career, his spells at Aldershot Town and Torquay were particularly notable. It was with his help that both made the final of the Conference playoffs during his respective times at each. Sills also clocked up more than a goal every two games while at Kingstonian after signing for the Ks in 2002. This is the pedigree that made Boro’ snap him up.
But his time with us wasn’t quite as prolific. And, come 2010, Sills moved to Rushden & Diamonds on loan. At the start of 2011, Boro’ cancelled his deal and let him move on for good; returning to the Shots.
