New arrival number 10 for summer 2025, Gassan Ahadme arrived at Boro’ from Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan in mid-August. With goals a concern during the 2024-5 campaign, it wasn’t too much of a shock to see gaffer Alex Revell focus his attentions on the forward part of the pitch. Spanish-born Ahadme was clearly thought to be a potential solution to that particular conundrum. So, in for the duration of the 2025-6 season he came. And you can definitely say he had a fair amount of experience to call upon.
Gassan Ahadme: Before Boro’
The first real step in Ahadme’s career came courtesy of Norwich City, which ain’t exactly what you’d regard as near Catalonian hometown of Vic. Few chances to shine came his way at Carrow Road, with a couple of loan spells while there; one in Spain, one in England. In 2022, then, it was time to move on and Burton Albion was his next port of call. Not that he was there long. Ipswich Town came calling pretty quickly, albeit loaning him back to the Brewers. There would also be a brief spell at Cambridge United, before a move to Charlton Athletic came about in 2024.
