Graham Westley signed Robbie Sinclair in time for the 2010-1 season after he impressed while playing for Salisbury City during the previous season. Having started his career as a youth team player at Luton Town (in the Football League at the time), he moved down to the Wiltshire side on a short-term loan. That deal was made permanent in July 2008, with Sinclair soon known for his attacking play.
Sinclair was versatile midfielder; comfortable playing in any position across the middle. It was a trait that Graham Westley is well-known admirer of. Part of the Boro’ team that won promotion to League One in 2010-1, Sinclair is forever associated with one of our most remarkable periods in its history; certainly by the fans. It was also a time that signalled the latest upward move in his flourishing football career.
After leaving us in 2012, Sinclair made his way back to Salisbury – before moving further west for a three-year stay with Forest Green Rovers.
