Joining in summer 1985, forward Chris Myers scored some key goals in our Vauxhall Opel League Division Two North title success. In all, the much-respected player’s time spanned three seasons with us; his goal tally drying up somewhat as Boro’ struggled to settle into a new level of football. One league goal during the 1987-8 season summed up our issues as we were relegated from Division One.
