Biography
At the heart of our midfield, Ian Adcroft made himself well and truly known with a golazo versus Whyteleafe in the 1985-6 FA Vase. He had two spells with us in the end; coming back for a second stint during the 1988-9 campaign. After us, he moved back to former club Baldock Town.
Ian Adcroft: Before Boro’
Adcroft had been a familiar face on the North Herts football scene before he came to us. After a spell on the books with Letchworth Garden City, he got to experience higher level football at Hitchin Town; the Canaries paying £800 for his services in October 1981. Once his time at Top Field was up, he joined Baldock Town for the first of three spells with them. It was from there he came to us for the first time.
