Seen as the last piece in the Westley jigsaw for 2005-6, David Perpetuini arrived towards the end of the 2005 pre-season as cover down the left; both in the defence and midfield departments. His career up to that point showed plenty of experience, including Premier League outings with Watford. But, as one of the increasing number of League players in search of a new club, Perpetuini came down to the Conference with us.
After starting 16 games, however, he couldn’t really establish himself as a key player for us. By the end of term, he was very much a fringe player. And, with that, came his cue to leave for pastures new – starting with Rushden & Diamonds.
