Dominic Naylor signed for Stevenage in the summer of 1998, following a two-year spell at Leyton Orient. He was a trainee at Watford, but failed to break through to the first team. Naylor moved from Vicarage Road and signed for Barnet in 1991.

He spent two years at Underhill, making 51 appearances before leaving to sign for Plymouth Argyle. Naylor was a regular in Devon until he left to return to the South East and Gillingham in 1995. He only spent a year at Priestfield before signing for Orient.

Naylor enjoyed his spell at Brisbane Road, making 95 appearances and scoring five goals. His time at Boro’ was not as enjoyable. He failed to become a regular in the side and only played 33 times for the club. He moved on to Dagenham & Redbridge, before spells at Basingstoke and then St Albans City.
