Biography
After a successful spell at rivals Hitchin Town, Paul Grant had an instant impact when he signed here in August 1988. The midfielder scored two goals on his Boro’ debut; showing a lot of promise for a side looking to rebuild after relegation. His tally, however, didn’t quite live up to that initial spark. In the end, Grant added just two more goals to his career total in a spell spanning two seasons. It was work commitments that would prevent the no-nonsense midfielder from playing for us as much as he’d like. But what can you do?
