Sutton Coldfield Town are the reason that our 1991-2 FA Cup efforts didn’t get us past the First Qualifying Round stage. You could count it as a bit of a shock to be fair. The Royals were members of the Southern League Midland Division at the time. But it didn’t stop them coming to ours and winning by two goals.

How to get to Sutton Coldfield Town
By Car
By Road
After heading north on the M1 and then M6, you have the option to take the M6 Toll. Do NOT do this! Stay on the old M6 into the heart of Birmingham and leave at Junction 5 – the A452 exit. Exit the motorway and take the third exit at the large roundabout for the A452 that takes you back under the M6.
Head over the railway bridge and the two roundabouts either end of the Jaguar Land Rover plant. At the third roundabout, take the third exit onto the B4148 and go past the entrance to Pype Hayes Golf Course. After 1.4 miles, turn left onto Wylde Green Road and right onto East View Road after another 0.7 miles.
Continue onto Coles Lane and the ground is on the right.

From the station, head south on Station Street and keep going in a straight line (more or less) onto Victoria Road. Follow this around to the right; taking Lower Queen Street and then Upper Holland Road, before turning left onto Coles Lane.

Parking is limited at the ground for safety reasons and not available to away fans. The club says that anyone not entitled to use the car park should park “locally“.
