First drafted in on loan by Graham Westley at the same time as fellow Brentford colleague Josh Clarke, Charlie Adams gave us yet another option in midfield; bringing an extra level of creativity to a team for whom the goals weren’t exactly flying in for at the time too.
After joining the ranks at Griffin Park in 2010, first team football had been hard to come by at the west London outfit and went out on loan to Barnet. With his temporary stay at us, Adams had the chance to shine at a higher level than the Bees (the non-league ones) and instantly made that case on debut against Accrington Stanley.
Charlie Adams: After Boro’
After his time at Boro’, Adams went Stateside to play for Louisville City. But he was back at the Lamex in March 2016, signing a short-term deal; the latest addition to the club’s growing 2015-6 rollcall. Two outings later and Adams was on his way back across to the States again; this time joining Real Monarchs for the rest of their 2016 campaign.
