Gary Mills Player Profile
Debut: Wrexham (A, 0-5), 09/08/2008
Gary Mills joined the ranks of Stevenage Borough’s midfield department in May 2008 and was one of Graham Westley’s first signatures. Apart from being a part of Rushden and Diamonds’ Conference winning setup in 2000 and gaining experience in the Football League, Mills has since played at three other clubs.
It was at Rushden where Mills first played under Westley in 2007, becoming a staple part of the first team. With his valuable experience, Mills sought to establish himself as an integral part of Boro’s midfield, but with plenty of competition to keep him on his toes, Boro’ failed to see the best of Mills.
He struggled to make a firm impression at Broadhall Way and in the summer of 2009, Mills decided to take his chance at Blue Square Premier rivals, Mansfield Town. Mills returned for a third spell with Rushden and Diamonds in 2011.
