Richard Howell Player Profile
Debut: Boston United (A, 0-0), 09/04/2002
A deadline day signing by Wayne Turner in 2001/2, Richard Howell initially appeared to come into the ranks to provide some much-needed strength-in-depth considering his age and inexperience.
However, he soon started to play a more prominent role in the first team, showing plenty of promise and contributing the odd goal too. Despite the best intentions, Howell was one of the Wayne Turner team that found little space under the new management of Graham Westley and the player was allowed to move on.
The decision certainly betrayed a desire to see the player fulfil the potential he had illustrated during his brief career at Broadhall Way but he rejoined Bishop’s Stortford and has been unable to push on.
