One of a number of players to make the move across from Hertford, midfielder Tony Ward came to Boro’ in time for the start of the 1990-1 campaign. And it’s fair to say fans from that particular era will remember him; Ward having lost an arm in a motorcycle accident in 1989.
He’ll also be remembered as a hard-working and determined player, however; a man who never gave anything less than 100 per cent during his time at Broadhall Way.
