Ivan Humphreys was a hugely entertaining and exciting striker during his time at Boro’. First team chances, however, were often limited and it was in the reserve side that he prospered. Indeed, he set the record for the most number of goals scored at reserve level before taking the opportunity to join up with Malden Vale in 1992 to gain first team action.
