Nigel Plummer is the midfielder who first signed for Boro’ at the age of 23-years-old; coming to us from neighbours Royston Town. He couldn’t quite make his mark at Broadhall Way, however. After joining at the start of the 1989-90 campaign, he was gone by Christmas; moving up the road to Baldock Town. It wasn’t the last we’d see of Plummer, mind you. He did pop back up again at Boro’ in 1994.
