Biography
A respected midfielder at local level, it was difficult for Grant McRae to make his mark here as we battled against the drop. With time at Hitchin Town and Letchworth Garden City under his belt, he arrived during the second half of the 1987-8 season. Boro’s form, however, was hitting rock bottom and no-one could arrest the slide. In the end, McRae made just a handful of appearances; all from the bench.
