Potton United: Club Profile
Formed in 1943, Potton United were twice champions of the United Counties League Premier Division during the 1980s. Neither times were on our watch, however. In fact, we’d been gone two clear seasons before their first success in 1986-7. But they were tough enough a nut to crack; three wins from six league encounters our record. There was, to be honest, a seventh meeting to cap it some time after we’d been parted. The Royals won it, though; ending our 1989-90 FA Vase run in their second title campaign.
