Bright, young prospect Anthony Jeffrey came in on loan in March 2013 as part of manager Gary Smith‘s bid to halt an alarming run of poor form. With his pace and eye for getting the ball into the box, the idea was that Jeffrey would add an exciting edge to our attacking and counter-attacking play; one that had gone missing in the games before his arrival.

A product of Arsenal‘s famed youth system, Jeffrey has been predicted to go onto big things and we afforded him his first chance to taste first team football. He had competed at youth level for the Gunners, but Football League experience could only be beneficial as he continued his development as a young player. It may also come as a bonus to learn that Jeffrey is not afraid of coming off the wing to contribute a goal or two.
