Anthony Jeffrey Player Profile

Debut: AFC Bournemouth (H, 0-1), 12/03/2013

Bright, young prospect Anthony Jeffrey was drafted in on loan by Stevenage manager Gary Smith in March 2013 as part of efforts to halt an alarming run of poor form. With his pace and eye for getting the ball into the box, it was anticipated that Jeffrey would add an exciting edge to Boro’s attacking and counter-attacking play that had gone missing in the games preceding his arrival.

A product of Arsenal’s famed youth system, Jeffrey has been predicted to go onto big things and Stevenage afforded him his first chance to taste first team football. He had competed at youth level for the Gunners, but Football League experience could only be beneficial as he continued his development as a young player. It may also come as a bonus to learn that Jeffrey is not afraid of coming off the wing to contribute a goal or two.
