After breaking through into the Boro’ first team as a relatively young ‘un, Phil Dunn returned after a six-year absence in 1989. The time he spent away from Boro’ after first making his debut in November 1982 let him gain significant experience. Despite a spurt of appearances in the second half of the 1988-9 campaign, however, Dunn was on the move again; our number one spot again up for grabs.
