Ian Allinson popped up in Boro’s red and white during the 1992-3 season; joining us after losing his job as Baldock Town manager. It wasn’t the greatest debut for the forward; part of a side that lost 7-1 to Chesham United. Seven is the operative number, to be fair. In his time with us, that’s how many appearances he made. Sadly, his goal tally never got going. The vacant manager position at Stotfold ended up being enough to lure him away though.
