A stand-out forward in more ways than one, Andy McCollin was a hit for Boro’ during what ended up being a short stay with us. He joined during the 1986-7 season; scoring all six of his goals for us during that Vauxhall Opel League Division One Table campaign. But there was a gap of nearly a year before he turned out for us again; unable to revive our fortunes as we slid towards relegation in 1987-8.
