Alfie Thornett

Named as a first-year scholar for the 2024-5 campaign, Alfie Thornett was one of several players in whom the club had high hopes. The central defender first joined the club in his U15 season; rising into the first team fold in no time at all. In fact, his first call-up into a matchday squad came at the top end of that aforementioned season. He didn’t ultimately get on the pitch against Crystal Palace U21s in our Football League Trophy clash – but just being named on the bench is the next step on what will hopefully be a rewarding career. Time, of course, is both on his side and will ultimately tell.
