Year of Establishment

Michael Flowers came to Tamworth in April 1933. On Saturday 29 April 1933, a second letter was printed in the Herald. In this letter, Mr Flowers was thankful for the townsfolk for getting in touch with him; securing a ground play that accommodates 5,000 people. This saw the creation of the now popular and successful football club in the UK.

The town of Tamworth used to be represented a football by Tamworth Castle FC. That was until the club went under in 1933. Development of Tamworth FC
