Biography

Young striker Terry Dixon started his career with Spurs in 2004 as a 14-year-old, taking only three years to impress enough to earn a pro deal. Injury conspired to halt progress, however, and first team action failed to materialise. In March 2008, therefore, Spurs opted to release the player. But a fresh start was afforded to the striker in February 2009 after proving himself to West Ham United.

It’d be a familiar tale, however; Dixon limited to reserve team appearances, before leaving the club by mutual consent. Despite the lack of apparent success at club level, Dixon has proved to be very much on the radar of the Republic of Ireland setup; playing for Ireland’s U16, U17, U21 and senior sides.

Dixon’s stay at Stevenage was a brief one. Three sub outings failed to yield any goals and that was the extent of his impact at The Lamex; the striker moving further down the league pyramid in 2011 with clubs including Dover Athletic.
