Biography
In signing Leon Smith in summer 2001, Boro’ looked to have won the race for one of the hottest new talents in non-league football. After convincing Morecambe to part with him, the midfielder moved south to Broadhall Way. But any hopes for a bright future while with us were perhaps premature. Smith’s career here never really came to much; just four sub outings to his name. In November 2001, his deal was cancelled by mutual consent; Smith returning north to sign for Altrincham.
