A midfielder who caused havoc in the opposition’s penalty area, Sean Pearson first joined us on loan from Hitchin Town in 1989. He did get called back by the Canaries, but soon made his stay at Broadhall Way permanent. He never feared a chance to make his presence felt; providing Boro’ with a real asset in the middle of the park. His goal tally was good too – breaking his duck on debut against Clapton. In his first spell, he scored six times in 10 games. While his scoring record wasn’t quite as good when he returned a few years later, it was still decent for a player in his position.
