Biography

Gambia-born central defender Hasim Deen joined us from Margate – then managed by Boro’ legend Robin Trott – in 2006. He’d clearly done enough to attract the attention of Mark Stimson at the time, but his time with us was not particularly noteworthy. Well, not unless you count a red card at Oxford United? There were also international plaudits at U17 and U21 level that hinted at his potential, though it had gone unfulfilled by the time he left us.
