Biography

Graham Westley swooped to sign Hull City midfielder Conor Henderson on loan in March 2014 with the battle for League One survival raging. He came in on the same day as Tom Flanagan from MK Dons in a similar deal.

Conor Henderson: Before Boro’

Henderson started his career at Arsenal and made his presence known during the Gunners’ 2008-9 FA Youth Cup, 2008-9 Premier Academy League and 2009-10 Premier Academy League triumphs. However, opportunities at the Emirates were understandably restricted for the midfielder. A brief loan spell at Coventry City was all the first team action that Henderson saw during his time at Arsenal; the club releasing him in 2013.

Fortunately for the youngster, Hull City were on hand to give him a fresh start after he impressed boss Steve Bruce in two reserve outings. He made his Hull debut in late 2013 and also has international caps to his name, having made three appearances for England U17s. But he switched his allegiance to Republic of Ireland at U19 level; going on to also represent the Irish at U21 level.
