Hopes were high that young defender Bobby Behzadi was going to break through into the Boro’ first team in the 1999-00 season. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. The lad had plenty of promise – but opportunities just didn’t come his way. In early 2000, he secured a move out on loan to Wealdstone. A few weeks later, however, the club confirmed his release for good. He was next seen turning out for Hayes.
