Stevenage manager Teddy Sheringham swooped to sign young Ipswich Town goalkeeper Michael Crowe on a one-month loan deal towards the end of November 2015; the latest in what seemed like a long line of stoppers to arrive at the club that season. A Welsh U21 international at the time of his arrival, Crowe’s first team opportunities were somewhat limited at Portman Road prior to his time at the Lamex.
Mind you, he did have reasonable success in a temporary stint with Woking during the 2014-5 campaign.
