Ryan Brunt Player Profile
Debut: Morecambe (H, 1-1), 29/11/2014
In what was a somewhat surprising move in November 2014, manager Graham Westley moved down a division and drafted in Ryan Brunt on loan from Bristol Rovers – then of the Conference.
With Boro’ scrapping for consistency in League Two, Brunt’s arrival brought a more assured look to a forward line that had been ravaged by injuries to almost all forwards at the Lamex. It was also a chance to gain valuable Football League experience for the young striker.
Before he arrived at the Memorial Ground, Brunt had started out at city rivals Bristol City as a youngster, later heading north to Stoke City.
In his time at the Britannia, he was loaned out to Nantwich Town and Luton Town, as well as Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient.
