Gary Sones came into the Boro’ team for the start of the 1983-4 campaign; the first of two brief spells between the sticks for us. In fact, he only made one outing at the start of that season. The rest of his six Boro’ appearances were made over the festive period during the 1984-5 campaign. In total, Sones’ record saw him conceded nine goals with Boro’ – keeping one clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Ware in January 1985.
