Biography

After impressing in both the youth and reserve teams, Shaun Batt is the EFCO graduate rewarded with a break in Graham Westley‘s first team. Batt’s combination of strength and pace seemed to stand him in good stead during the early stages of his career. But, time and again, he ended up going out on loan. And that paved the way for the player to move elsewhere for first team football.

Shaun Batt: After Boro’

Learning his trade below the Conference worked, however. He was one of a number of non-league players signed by Peterborough United in 2008. And his ascent up the ladder continued; signing for Millwall in 2010. Later clubs included Leyton Orient and Barnet, before he moved back into non-league with Barnet and Chelmsford City. As of 2019, he was not a million miles away from Boro’ on the books at Royston Town; looking to get back into first team action after injury.
