Biography

Danny Carroll was another one of the players that made from the switch from Farnborough to Stevenage to join up with Graham Westley in 2002. He arguably made the biggest impact of the lot too. The central midfielder finished the season with a number of goals to his name; that ability to find the net proving more than valuable. The injury to Sam McMahon meant a new partner in midfield for Carroll in 2003-4, but Carroll often took on an integral role for Boro’. He gradually fell out of favour after the arrivals of players such as Dannie Bulman and Michael Brough, however. And so first-team outings became fewer and further between.

Danny Carroll: After Boro’

After Boro’, it was down the pyramid for the midfielder with a move to Carshalton Athletic. Other clubs to come next included Bromley and Tooting & Mitcham United as he kept on showing his worth in lower league football. Later, he got a crack at management when he took charge of Walton Casuals; quitting that role in 2013.
