Brian Statham Player Profile

Debut: Kingstonian (H, 3-3), 13/02/1999

Last Updated: 27 November 2019

It was a memorable debut for Brian Statham after signing in 1999; the experienced defender sent off for deliberate handball against Kingstonian. It probably didn’t go down too well with manager Richard Hill at the time, although we did come away with a point after the match ended in a 3-3 draw. With a great deal of Football League mileage behind him, Hill brought Statham to the club to offer much needed know-how at the back.

But the veteran played just three games before his spell came to an end.
