Keith Tonge is a winger who first arrived at Boro’ on loan during the 1986-7 campaign – before returning again in 1990. The former Cheshunt and Brentford player came to us from Wealdstone to start with. As outlined in a programme at the time, the deal meant he would be available to us if the Stones didn’t need him. But his first debut had to wait; our match at Staines in late November 1986 being postponed.
