The 2024-5 campaign saw a new cohort of young talent come into the first team fold; midfielder Riley England being one of them. The player – who tends to operate in a central position – was among the subs for our Football League Trophy tie with Crystal Palace in August 2024. Though not getting any time on the pitch in that tie, it was recognition enough of that esteem in which the club held him. Indeed, England secured his apprenticeship at U14 level and was then confirmed as a first-year scholar going into the 2024-5 season.
