In search of some more quality to drive us up the League Two table, Boro’ loaned in forward Jahmal Hector-Ingam in February 2021. Now, we say February because it was; 1 February 2021 marking the end of the January transfer window during the 2020-1 season. And now that we’ve cleared that up, we can move onto the important task of raving about the highly-rated Derby County talent – and what he could bring to us.
Judging by the reaction from fans of the Rams, Hector-Ingham’s arrival at Boro’ was great for all concerned. We don’t implicity trust websites that base articles off the back of what’s said on Twitter. But, then again, no-one will know the lad better than his own fans. And the rave reviews from them should mean that we’ll become huge fans in due course too. From his record in Derby’s U23 side, the potential to shine was very much there.
Alex Revell said: “Jahmal is a really exciting young talent and we are thrilled to have him at Stevenage. He will bring real dynamism to our attack and has a huge appetite to score goals.”
Jahmal Hector-Ingham: Before Boro’
After starting out at West Ham United in their academy set-up, Hector-Ingham moved to the Rams after a successful trial in 2019. He certainly made his mark too; shortlisted for the 2019-20 PL2 Player of the Season award after scoring 10 times in 17 matches. July 2020 also saw him make his senior debut too. But it’d be at Boro’ where he’d be able to really show what he was capable of at senior level.
