Biography
Nigel Johnson was an influential midfield player, comfortable both on and off the ball. He made his Boro’ debut in November 1985, but made just a handful of appearances before departing the club. He left in spring 1986 for Barnet, who offered “terms we just couldn’t come close to matching”.
