Boro’ boss Alex Revell revealed his depth of faith in our youth set-up by picking Max Granville for his squad in September 2020. The young midfielder made the bench at Valley Parade for our League Two clash against Bradford City; one of three academy prospects in the frame for first team debut that day. For Granville, the rise up into the first-team frame came quickly. As a first-year scholar at the time, he was just 16-years-old; earning his stripes, nonetheless, as part of Boro’s U15s and U18 side. While the short-term will see him feature at those levels, there’s a clear path forward for him to follow.
Before his time at the Lamex (not that there’s much to report on), Granville played for ESFA Potters Bar Primary Schools District U11s.
