Statpack: Boro’ Match Stats (12 August 2025)

Updated:

By Pete H

Here’s your latest statpack; the latest stats, numbers, and milestones fresh off the press after the latest Stevenage game day. We used to do this on Twitter or X or whatever it’s called now. And we’d syndicate it across Bluesky too. But we thought “meh, let’s drive some more people to the site”. That’s the hope and, well, we like to think there’s usually something for everyone once the dust has settled on the latest Boro’ escapade.

Statpack: Charlton Athletic 3-1 Stevenage – 12 August 2025

1️⃣
At last! Boro’ break their duck in front of goal at The Valley; a first goal in four visits.

But…

4️⃣
…we’ve now paid the Addicks a visit on four occasions. We’re yet to win there. And…

3️⃣
…we’ve lost all three cup encounters against them. Still, it’s not as bad as our 2018 Football League Trophy effort.

0️⃣.5️⃣6️⃣
Our return of 0.56 goals per game against Charlton Athletic (nine games, five goals) is our fourth-worst against teams we’ve played at least five times. Those same five goals are also our fifth-lowest tally we’ve managed against a team we’ve played at least five times.

7️⃣
A seventh defeat when Craig Hicks has been referee. Mind you, we’ve had him 16 times now in total and we’ve won eight. So, it’s not all bad.

2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
It’s another milestone for Jamie Reid; the latest addition to the 200-appearance club for us (145 starts, 55 subs).

Statpack will return… after the next game.
