One of three loan signings made by Graham Westley in March 2014, young striker Anderson Banvo arrived on a short-term deal from Blackpool. The forward came to us with the promise of giving us that extra bit of firepower to help lift them out of relegation strife.

Hailing from the Ivory Coast, Banvo had been on the books at French giants Paris St Germain, before his career brought him to this side of the Channel. With chances to shine in the first team at a premium at Blackpool, Stevenage was the place where he gained his first sample of English football.
