To inject life into our 2004-5 campaign, boss Graham Westley recruited striker Jermaine Hunter – a decision that did seem quick to be justified. While he made little impact on his debut at Exeter City, his second game (and home debut) was muchmore successful; the forward scoring a brace as Boro’ beat Northwich Victoria. And, yet, it was about as much use as we got out of him. He played a further eight times between September 2004 and January 2005; scoring none and leaving for pastures new.

Jermaine Hunter: Before Boro’

Hunter came to us with a long-enough list of former clubs to his name; Staines Town the most recent of those. Before that, the striker saw action at Walton & Hersham, Boreham Wood and Maidenhead United among others. In fact, we think he was on the books at 11 clubs before us; starting out with Fulham and then Leyton Orient.

Jermaine Hunter: After Boro’

With the striker not adding much value to our promotion hopes, Hunter left Broadhall Way in early 2005. Or, at least, didn’t feature in the first team again. First, there was a return to Staines Town. After that, he moved to Hendon and played a few times across the second half of the 2005-6 season and into the next campaign. After that, we’re not sure what then became of the player. Do get in touch if you know more…
