We appreciate there’s probably a modern team going around called Harpenden as we write this – but do they relate to *this* one? The reason we ask the question is because the club in question here are a youth team we came up against during our 1978-9 Chiltern Youth League 14/18 Section campaign. Such was the reporting of the competition in the Luton News from the time, we don’t know if there’s anything more to their name. So, it’s something we still need to find out. And any info you might have would be gratefully received.
It turns out reporting of Boro’s fortunes from that time was not so comprehensive.
