Now, here are a team we *definitely* played in the 1978-9 Herts County Youth Cup. But that’s all we can tell you… that’s of any use, at least. We can make an educated guess that Athletic hailed from Watford’s Leggatts Playing Fields. It does, however, put us right on the edge of our ignorance as far as this particular club is concerned. As we’d assume they were a youth side, it’s entirely feasible they folded at some point between then and now.
