Walden Rangers
Walden Rangers are a team we came across during the 1979-80 season – but we don’t really have a huge amount more to say about ’em. It’s not for the want of trying, you realise. The simple truth of the matter (in our view) is that the club is no more. If we’re wrong, someone please come forward and tell us. We certainly don’t think they exist as a senior club at this point in time. To be fair, that’s fair enough too; our only meeting with them coming in the Herts Intermediate Cup. So, it’s not as if we knew them as a senior club anyway.
And yet we do know they once were…

Club History
Who are Walden Rangers?
To the best of our knowledge, the Rangers are a side who came from Breachwood Green. The club has an entry in the Football Club History Database too; playing in the South Midlands League and Spartan South Midlands League between 1976 and 1999. It was a period that brought some degree of success. The club were promoted up into the Premier Division twice (1977 and 1980) as Division One runners-up. And they were hardly disgracing themselves in Division One as the 1990s drew to a close. What became of them? We’re not sure.
Are they still around as a junior or intermediate club? We don’t know that either. We definitely can’t find them in the Herts Senior County League structure. The signs we found point to a folded club. But we don’t know that either…
